When I started reading fitness, running and wellness blogs, Amel’s blog was one of the first ones I followed diligently: This 26-year-old blogger is passionate about runnning and fitness. Thanks to a rebalancing of food and a lot of sports, Amel has lost 12 kilos and has developed a slender and toned silhouette.

A year ago, she launched her blog: Hins (Healthy is the new sexy) on which she shares with us her love for running, fitness tips and sports looks at the forefront of fashion !
Amel kindly agreed to answer my first interview:

1. Can you introduce yourself in a few words?

My name is Amel, I’m 26 years old and I have been blogging HINS (Healthy Is The New Sexy) for a year now.

2. Apart from sport, what do you do in life?

I work in the management of web projects for 2 years. When I’m not playing sports, I like to spend time alone watching US series or reading. On the weekends, I like to receive my friends around a good meal.

3. Who is the man or woman who has marked you most in your sporting life?

There is a person who marks me every time I see her and I do not stop admiring her when I see her. This is a man, I do not know him personally and I do not mean nonsense but I think he suffers from a slight mental handicap and also physical (in his arms).

Well, this man, I meet him at least twice a week every time I go out to do my run. It also runs about 60 minutes, admittedly slowly, BUT IT SHORT! So when I see him, I can not help being admiring and telling me that even with his disability, this man is there and he SHORT!

4. What is the craziest experience that sport has made you live?

I am an active user of the Nike FuelBand and to thank me, I was invited by Nike last June in Rio de Janeiro during the World Cup. It was one of the craziest things I’ve done in my life! We played football and voleyball with brazilians on Ipanema beach, we flew over the city of Rio by helicopter and I even went hang gliding! It was really crazy, I will never forget this trip!

5. Diet or not diet?

Not diet! I, at some point in my life, took 12 pounds after a big let go of me. I quickly took control by putting myself in sport and following a food balance. I lost all the weight that I had taken and today I live under the rule of 80-20%: the majority of the time, I pay attention to what I eat (unprocessed food that I cook myself- even a lot of water, fruits and vegetables …) and I play sports (about 6 hours a week) and the remaining 20% ​​I allow myself “cheat meals” (meals where I can eat what I want ) and I rest.

6. What is your leitmotiv, the slogan that summarizes your way of thinking?

“Just do it”! There is no point waiting for a Monday, a new month of January to make resolutions. We must stop putting everything back in the morning and “just do it”!

What is your next sporting challenge?

My next sporting challenge is the marathon of Paris on April 12th, 2015, a real challenge! In the meantime, there will be the 10km Paris Center and the Vincennes Half Marathon!
